God is Awesome! Just had an interview with Pastor Eileen before svc! i'm just so nervous. Having to talk to Pastor seems comfortable but having to answer the questions that Pastor asked seems so stressful. I think the things that i wanted to say doesn't come out from me. I wonder how would Pastor think of me. The most stressful things is i'm being interviewed by 3 persons. haha. One leader just suddenly popped out and ask me big questions. Seems like an oral test for me. hehe. This interview was to allow me to go for a leadership class for children church which is call SWAP Class. I don't know what it means. haha. Really prayed that I will be able to get in as I waited to go for this class since the beginning of this year! It's something that I looked forward to. Having to learn something from Pastor Eileen, my role model! She is very sweet! I like her smile! =) Gonna believe God and trust God and have faith!!!! I just finished my exam and project for this term. Having a one week break finally! Time to charge up my spiritual and physical battery to be use powerfully by God again!

Happy National Day, my friends!
It's been 2 months since the departure of my best friend!
I have always been keeping her in my mind and heart!
I miss you, Hazel!
This has been the toughest moment that I ever been through!
Coping with the loss, continue working, studying and moving on with Life has been extremely difficult! I have tried. I am tired!
Seriously, I do not know how to move on without God's strength!
God has always been my source of strength!
There's no one else but God!
Knowing that Hazel is in God's hand, has comforted me.
But knowing that our appointment to Taiwan has become my disappointment!
It is my greatest regret! As we planned for the trip since the beginning of the year.
I find it so so so hard to face reality.
The thought of seeing her alive but now gone. I can't feel her, I can't hear from her.
It's really hurts.....................................................................................................................
Trying so hard to focus myself on studies and work and ministry and family.
But still, I can't let go of it. She is my best companion.
Everytime, everything, everywhere, everyday I will think of her.
When I am weak, He is strong! I will get stronger. God, sees me through this SEASON.
You are my HEALER! Thank you Jesus!

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Quote - 'You can't always get what you want' - Mick Jagger
We don't live in a perfect world.
Learn to live with imperfect situations, unresolved issues and unfulfilled expectations without losing your great spirit.
There's always something that isn't the way you want it.
Get happy in spite of this.
As you deal with it, stay happy, not upset.
If the unresolved problem gets you, then it's won.
Stay on top even when it's trying to get you down, and you'll win.
This is Christianity at its best.
Staying up in a down situation.
That's leadership.

Leadership Files by Pastor Phil Pringle
FRIENDS
Quote - 'Special friendships had been welded. Many will last a lifetime.' - Rob Mundle reporting on the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race that claimed 5 lives, and in which only 44 of the 115 strong fleet finished.
Most 'fallen' ministers I've met with said they had no-one to talk to, no trusted friends who would understand their problem.
God says, 'It's not good that man be alone.'
Friends are to laugh with, cry with and do life together with.
Friends are forged in fire.
Shared experience is the basis of relationship.
Be there in their ups, their downs, and friendship forms.
Our destiny is locked into our friendships.
Jonathan was meant to inherit his father Saul's throne, but he prepared his soul friend David for that.
How are your friends?

[I just want to say Happy birthday to my dearest friend, Shu Zhen.
Enjoy your chalet babe! Sorry that I wouldn't be turning up coz it's pretty awkward lah. Hope you like the pressie I gave. Really enjoyed the times we spend together. The aimless shopping that we always tempt each other. The jokes and gossips we shared. The talks from intellectual to pure stupidity like talking about the sound of shit can make us laugh like mad.
Really enjoyed your company and I hope you do too. HAHA!
Friends Forever!
Shall meet up again for our hair session soon.
Best wishes and take great care!]

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT...
GRIEF?
by Betty Miller
Proverbs 15:13-14(Amp):
13 A glad heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.
14 The mind of him who has understanding, seeks knowledge, inquires after and craves it, but the mouths of (self-confident) fools feed on folly.
In these verses in Proverbs we find a comparison between a merry heart and a sorrowful heart. Verse 13 tells us that you can tell the condition of a man's heart by looking at his countenance (his facial appearance). When people are happy, you can tell by the sparkle in their eyes, their smile and their cheerful attitude. When they are older, they will even have what we call "smile wrinkles" instead of the wrinkles caused by frowning. Indeed, facial looks reveal a lot about a person.
You can also read on a person's face when they have sorrow in their heart, especially when you know a person. We have all experienced someone saying to us, when we were troubled about something, "What is wrong? Are you worried about something?" We all have experiences in our lives that cause us to be broken-hearted about an incident. The scripture tells us that if we allow this sorrow of heart to continue, it can break our spirits.
How can we get past heart break over the loss of someone or something? We must give the person or situation to the Lord and ask Him to remove the sorrow and grief from our hearts. We can keep the good memories of a lost loved one, but we must not allow the enemy to torment us with the grief of our loss. God will replace the emptiness we feel from the loss of a mate, a child, a friend, or a home, if we ask Him to do this. Jesus died on the cross, not only to give us eternal life, but He also died to take our grief and sorrows. Jesus Christ, on the cross bore all of our iniquities, pain, sickness and sorrow. Since He took them, we do not have to take these things, but rather receive our salvation, healing, deliverance and peace by faith.
Isaiah 53:4-6:
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Proverbs 15:14 tells us that if we have God's understanding, we can ask Him for the knowledge to overcome every trial and problem we face. God is bigger than our grief, sorrow, pain and every problem that any of us could face. We must never blame Him for our troubles, as the devil is the trouble maker, not our Lord. God is there for us, to help us overcome anything the enemy has done, or is trying to do. God is the one that will rescue us and help us in our hour of need. However, we must not be like the fool who feeds on his folly. This is a person who is continually mouthing his troubles and blaming others, including God, for his circumstances. He feeds on self-pity and rehearses his problems to all who will listen. We must give our heartaches and troubles to God and keep a cheerful attitude no matter what is going on in our lives. We need to remember, "this too, shall pass" as God is eternal and has a good plan for our future.
As Christians, death is the last enemy we face, as we have the assurance that we shall see all of our loved ones who have died in Christ once again. The devil may have snatched them off this earth, but because they belong to God, He snatches them from the devil and takes them home with him. We will be reunited with them. That shall happen when we get to Heaven, or when Christ comes again to this earth and brings them with Him at the resurrection. We are not like those who have no hope. In Christ, our future is full of His promises and we are promised victory over death and the grave!
1 Thessalonians 4:13:
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1 Corinthians 15:54-55:
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
Certainly, grief and sorrow are natural emotions that we all experience when we lose someone or something and it is not wrong to feel it at the time a loss or tragedy occurs. However, it is wrong to embrace these emotions as Christians. Just like it is not wrong to feel fear when we are in danger; however, it is wrong to embrace fear because it will destroy our faith. We must not embrace grief either, as the above scripture tells us to "sorrow not."
I remember a number of years ago, a man came to Bud and me for counseling, as he had no joy in his life. We asked him when he lost his joy and he said it was after the accidental death of his grown son. The son had died in a plane crash. This man had been continually tormented by grief from that time, which had been over two years. We explained to him that tormenting grief was from the devil and he could be free from it. We were shocked at his reaction when we offered to pray for him to be free from this evil spirit. He absolutely refused. The devil had convinced him that if he quit grieving for his son, it meant he no longer loved his son. He was equating the emotion of grief with the emotion of love. He had embraced an additive kind of agony and the devil made him reluctant to let it go. This kind of negative emotion causes men to live in the past and robs them of the present, and future. This man was no longer a good husband to his wife as his life was revolving around a dead son through the grief he refused to let go of.
Many people accept the devil's sorrow and grief tunes by yielding to "singing the blues" or the "crying in your beer" mentality. Many of the songs that are sung in bars and nightclubs are this kind of music. Old melancholy songs about a lost love create a type of emotional sorrow that has an almost intoxicating feeling associated with it. The devil uses old memories to keep people in bondage to the past, even through a hurtful emotional attachment. The Bible tells us to forget those things behind us, and reach forth to the things in front of us in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13-14:
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Grief that is not released to God has a deadly hold on many people. They carry this heavy burden that is aching for release. They may find temporary release when someone sympathizes with them or when they cry some tears, but soon this feeling turns into an overwhelming pain of loneliness that is almost unbearable. Grief and sorrow come to hurt us, not help us. We must resist them in the name of Jesus. Jesus does not want us to bear this grief. He bore it on the cross for us. Gladness and joy are our portion, not sorrow and sadness.
Isaiah 53:4:
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isaiah 51:11:
11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
We must resist sorrow and grief and ask for God's peace and comfort when we face loss and heartache. If we submit unto God and resist the devil, then the tormenting grief and pain caused by the devil, will have to flee.
James 4:7: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Here is a sample prayer you can offer to God:
Father God, Thank You for always being there for me no matter what I face. I know You will never fail me, even in my most intense trials. I have not always understood why I was going through certain things; however, I do not have to understand, because You are God and You are in control, in spite of my lack of understanding. I know that all You require of me is to trust You, and look to You in faith and You will come and save me, and bring me an answer. You always have, and You always will, because you are faithful. You never fail any of us who look to You. I have failed You, Lord, by my doubt and unbelief at times, but You have never failed me. Lord, please remove all the sorrow and grief I feel. Heal this pain I feel in my heart and help me to trust You more. Fill this empty place in my heart with more of Your Spirit. I ask this in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen

In loving memory of Hazel
My wonderful Friend from 1997 to 2008
we known each other since sec 1.
we were in different class from sec 2 onwards.
but we still meet each other after school.
we used to hang around Junction 8, amk.
She was a beautiful and loving friend.
we used to call each other often, write letters,
make cards for one another.
she used to come to city harvest church for one year.
even after we graduated from secondary school,
we still keep in touch, though we are busy with our stuff.
She was my best shopping kaki, chatting and neoprint buddy!
we always go shopping together. She often give me tips on
beauty products and we even went to same hair salon.
from top to tail. we shared alot of common topic.
last year my birthday, she even went to the extend
to bake cupcakes for me! i'm so touched!
Many many thoughts just came into my mind!
I know I can't probably do all the things together with her again!
Given the 2 appointments that we are supposed to have!
It will never happened ever on earth. But I believe I can meet her in Heaven!
I hope to release my feelings by blogging!
I can't take it any longer. I am trying to be strong!
I might not be having any tears but my heart is still tearing!
My heart hurts when I can't meet Hazel for our last shopping on 8 June, sunday!
My heart hurts when We can't go for Taiwan as planned! She saved and planned alot!
My heart hurts when I see her in ICU fighting with virus!
My heart hurts when I can't do anything for her except praying for a miracle!
My heart hurts when I see her mum breaking down and I can only cry with her!
My heart hurts when I can't hear her voice and see her opening up her eyes!
My heart hurts when I was there in the hospital seeing her last moment!
My heart hurts when I see the virus attacking her whole body in a critical condition.
My heart hurts when I sms her on wed night 4 June, and she replied should be ok, 2.30pm at orchard rite.
My heart hurts when she didn't tell me she is having a fever for few days.
My heart hurts when the doctor didn't know the cause of her death.
My heart hurts when she didn't even know that she is leaving this world.
My heart hurts when I didn't arranged to meet up with her much earlier.
As she already sms me on 16 may, telling me that she had finished her exam, and we could meet up! and I told her if i can meet her after my exam which is 3 June. and we agreed on mtg on 8 June!
My heart hurts when our appointment on 8 June, turned out to be her funeral wake!
My heart hurts when I send her off on her last journey in life!
My heart hurts when I think about her getting her degree and entering into workforce soon.
My heart hurts when I go orchard, remember the places we always go.
My heart hurts when I remember the things we did, the words she said.
My heart hurts when I see the photos i took with her.
My heart hurts when I think about the things that we could not do in future, like seeing each other getting married and having children!
My heart hurts deep deep deep! I'm broken!
I'm allowing God to heal my heart!
Just within a few days, I lost a great and dearly friend!
Life is so fragile, so unpredictable!
Friends, really! We got to live our life with no regret!
Seizing every moments of our life!
Living our life to its fullest!
Dear God,
I lift up Hazel in your hands!
I trust that Jesus will take good care of her!
One day, I will meet her in Heaven and she will
bring me around Heaven!
Thank you for Hazel!
God,I pray for your strength, peace and comfort to
come upon Hazel's mum, dad and bro!
Lord, watch over them in this season!
And God use me to be a pillar for Hazel's mum!
I love you God!
In Jesus' Name
Amen

Today marks another journey of my ministry this year.
[Jan]-lunch with Pastor Eileen and a talk with my svc Ic(Jo-ann).
[Feb]-overnight prayer mtg with Pastor Eileen.
[Mar]-acting svc IC at expo for a week and JW for 2weeks.
[Apr]-dinner with Children Church Zone supervisor(Joanna and Gloria], leading art&craft discussion with teachers.
[May]-acting svc IC at expo for a week, prayer meeting with Joanna.
This is only the beginning! I'm really stir to do so much more for God. Thank God today Jw svc was good! I love it when the kids sing along with me during praise and worship. I can really sense the atmosphere there in the room. As for the set up, I still prefer expo. I love to have the feeling of many kids together. Watching them grow, really touches my heart. Seeing the kids looking upon me while i tell bible story, really give me the confidence. Indeed it is God who gave the confident. After the playgroup svc, i rush down to expo to have prayer mtg with my children church zone supervisor, joanna and the other ICs and some potential leader. She uses to be my Ic. I was really stir during the mtg as she get us to share about the playgroup's future. Really challenged. I love my ministry. I love the kids more. I love God even more. I believe God will gives us the strategy to work on the svc and the kids and also the parents. my ex cg leader ever told me that if u want to be with eagle, u should hang around with the eagles and not with the turkeys. today i see myself as one of the eagle. while i am slowing stepping into leadership position. i look forward to more session with the eagles so as to soar like them. Look forward to the youth camp next week. I feel pity that i can only make it for the last night. dear
E444, I'm with you in the spirit! especially jovan, really proud of you! God changed your life around. I never imagined that! God is awesome! =p

I was pretty busy with my project works and assignments for the past few weeks. Today, I have an opportunity to visit my coursemate's centre at Sembawang Presbyterian Church. wow i can say that the centre's environment is so cool and nice. i like! i hope my dream future centre will be something like that. hee. exciting! May is a month that I feel kinda emotional. A lot of separation had and is going to take place in my life. As two of the babies eventually withdraw from our centre and one of my colleague is resigning. i work very closely with her since i first joined the centre. also the other colleague who is my best buddy is been transfered to the other group. so i hardly have chance to talk to her. She is my colleague cum children church friend. I really thank God for her. I feel very much attached to her since the beginning of this year. as we see each other everyday from monday to sunday. can you believe that. hee. and lastly, my real brother is going to move out of our house, as he gotten his new house with his gf. i gotta miss all this people so so much. especially my bro, for all the IT stuff at home, SCV and his car! haha. this is a season that i got to really let go and put my total trust in God! i believe as transition takes place in my life, God will still be here for me and his love is unfailing! I will be stronger! I still remember last year this date, I tender my resignation letter at AIA. It's not an easy decision but i'm glad i make the decision. I am thankful to God for where I am right now! working with the little babies, serving God with my talents and passion and studying a course of my interest, though is tough. BUT GOD is the strength of my heart and portion forever! =)

Communication is powerful!
Leadership files by Pastor Phil Pringle
People in a dark room want to turn the light on.
They want to see where they can walk.
Communication in an organisation turns the light on for everyone.
People do not function well in the dark.
Absence of communication leaves people in the dark.
Fear, distrust, suspicion, gossip and rumour all fester in this dark.
Trust, faith and security make an organisation healthy.
Communicate with people all the time.
Arrange systems of communications.
Use all the technology available to maintain open lines.
Any military strategist will tell you that an army without communications is a defeated army.
Turn the light on in your families, your workplace, your networks.
Communicate!

I just wanna say that we served an amazing God. Back to expo to serve today! The numbers of kids that turned up really blow us off! 78 kids! Breaking record ever for sunday playgroup. usually we have the most was 65. With only 5 teachers around today, WE are really depending on the power of God that is working within us. His supernatural strength and grace covers us all. Thank God there's isn't any accident or anything that is happening. But I sort of lost focus as I am too overwhelmed with the numbers of kids coming in and the numbers of auntie and parents around to make our room really crowded. Thank God I learnt. The one thing that I really need to constantly remind myself is I am raising up as a service IC, I got to take ownership and be aware of everything that is happening. Though the responsibility is great, i pray that I am able to contain it in my spirit. yet I do not want to serve to a point that I will be too tired to do anythings else. I want to continue to have the passion for God and for kids. I looked forward for the many more exciting times that God will lead me in my ministry and my walk with him. I just started a new term again, many projects to do. I must really know how to manage my time. Pastor Tan preached that time management is the management of event. Gotta manage my events well. And also to wake up early to pray and plan. I wanna place my day into the hand of God! my walk with God will get even more glorious! =p

Happy belated easter! hee. My easter was rather different this year! I got called up to stand up for one of e children church Ic for playgroup at Jurong west. As she gotten chickenpox. what a God-appointed opportunity for me. As i just got to stand in for my own playgroup Ic at expo last week. I take this opportunity seriously. I thank God very much that I learned a lot from my IC and senior and God has been speaking to me about my life and ministry. Somehow, God has a great plan instored for me this year. As I was serving at JW on good friday, e friend that I mentioned, he got saved at Expo. God is truly amazing! I believe for greater breakthrough this year! This year is a year of promotion. Not only in my ministry but in my career, spiritual life and relationship with other as well. I do not want to see promotion as something that I can boast about. But I rather be humble and be myself. I may not have reach the level of leadership in my ministry. I am still learning. Now that I am called to be a IC in training. I see it as something that God has given. I will serve the best I can. Indeed details determine destiny. I am seeing something in the realm of spirit. Finally breaking through. Though this is just the stepping stone, it's e first step that I took. I know I will be able to make it through with God! I want to be the kind of leader that God wants me to be. More things are coming! So exciting! =) when I am weak, He is strong! Thank you Jesus for a wonderful easter experience with the kids!

Hi friends, I got a few good news to share. 1stly, I am given a chance to tell bible story last sunday. I always wanted to do so. It's a good try for the first time, I believe i'll improve on it. This sunday, I gonna oversee the whole playgroup service as my IC is not around. I will take charge and lead the team. I'm so anxious. Thank God! I know I am able to do it in Jesus. I'm really blessed by what Pastor Kong preached last sunday. I am really not a detail person. I feel I lack in having the spirit of excellence. Eversince last sat, "Details Determine Destiny"has been planted into my mind. I keep on meditating on this phrase when I work and study. God is good. I have also done one of my presentation this tues. For the first time ever that the lecturer came to me and say I did a pretty good presentation. I am so happy. Hehe. Also I want to thank God for a friend that I have been reaching out to. He used to critise about my church and about christian. I have been reaching out to him for few years. He always disappoint me when he promise to go church. Indeed God has a plan for everyone. He was facing some problems since the beginning of the year. I try to be there to encourage and advise him and be his friend. I invited him for one of my cg outing. He enjoyed himself. And now he was sharing with me how his life has been changed eversince he came. He will love to hear the word of God. He like my cg members a lot. Though he had yet to receive Christ but I believe he will accept Christ soon! SO Proud of him. God is doing amazing things in my life! Though I feel weak and tired after a day of work and school and those challenge that I have at work, God never fails to love and strengthen me. Thank you, Jesus!

hi friends,
happy cny! I've been busy working and studying. this year i really set my focus on children all the way. I believe I have started the year right. firstly, meeting with my playgroup ic (Jo-Ann), she shared about the vision that she has for me is to raise me up to be the next ic. I admired her a lot in the way she do things and manage her family, business and ministry. I salute her for that. secondly, having lunch with Pastor Eileen, is a great privilege. thirdly, attending children church vision sharing and overnight prayer meeting yesterday, is rather a breakthrough for me personally. I gonna stretch my faith and strength to attend the prayer meeting after a whole day of work and going for service. Indeed is worth spending time in the presence of God, entering into the holy of holies. His presence is so strong and tangible. this year children church vision is moving ahead! I wanna move ahead with God. Pastor shared that some of us might be afraid of moving forward. I feel that God is speaking right to my heart. I am afraid of the responsibility that I need to take on being a playgroup Ic. but it is the calling of God, I should accept the responsibility with the confidence of God! I know I can do it with the Holy Spirit. the bible says, it not by might nor by the power but is by the Holy Spirit. truly, I can run to God for rest, strength and comfort. Thank you, Lord. It is great going for overnight prayer meeting to pray and trust God that He is going to perform miracles on behalf of all of us.
That's all for now. I shall share again. I gotta finish my school project now n Jesus' name! =)
Pray, Pray, Pray!

dear friends, it's been a long time since I last updated my blog. I've started school for 2 weeks. It wasn't easy to manage work, studies, church, ministry and family. By the grace and strength of God, I'm able to sustain through this 2 weeks. Here's a important update that I want to remind myself. It probably marks the beginning of my dreams this new year!
I got the privilege to have lunch with my role model-Pastor Eileen today!
This is actually a thanksgiving for all the teachers from both sat and sun expo playgroup teachers. We have our lunch at Macau Express! It has been postponed due to christmas production. It's really my first time having a casual talk with Pastor. Pastor Eileen noticed me and smile then she started asking everyone to intro themselves. And then when we are waiting for our food, Pastor's food and mine and some other's came first. But there's still a few more waiting for their food. Know what, while waiting, I saw pastor taking up her spoon and stir, I thought she was about to start eating. I was hungry and initially wanted to start eating but I told myself, I got to wait for others. While some teachers beside me was telling me to eat, as Pastor has started and some of them have started to eat their dessert. After hearing about it, I feel relieved to see pastor eating, so I said grace and pick up my spoon and begin to eat. Just when I put the spoon into my mouth, Pastor Eileen caught me eating. She pointed at me and said she starting eating. I was so embarrassed. I stop eating and wait for others. Haha. Then after awhile Pastor turn again to look at me and she smiled. And I said Pastor, I am waiting for you to eat. Then she replied, I am waiting for the rest. Hehe. Though I talked to pastor a few times but is about serious stuff in ministry. Thank God for this opportunity! She has shown another side of her to me. I am greatly inspired by looking at her! She was friendly and joking along with us. I remembered the first impression I used to have of her is she looked very fierce. But after all these years in children church, I learned a lot from her and I admired her even more.
The other thing that bring a smile to my face is that my children's church zone supervisor- sis Glordia, she looked at me and said: "we got big plans for you"! I am amazed and at the same time feeling excited about the plans God has for me! And then my Service In-Charge has arranged to meet me up this coming week. I wondered what is it about! Indeed God is about to do something great in my life this year! I'm looking forward to serve Him more confidently!
P.s: Friends, I am having a fever now. pls pray for me! Thank you! I will be strong! I need more rest! God is my healer and my provider!
